Two teachers learning how to use classroom technology.

Based from our world-class technology Experience Centre in north Leeds, the candidate will spend a large part of their time in schools, understanding their existing technology ecosystem and then helping the schools make better use of it; building and delivering training and CPD sessions around software for learning, interactive displays, pupil devices, visualisers, apps and more.

As part of these services, the candidate will also highlight where adoption of new technology can enable further improvement.

The candidate will support EdTech events, demonstrations and training workshops in our Experience Centre – both in person and live online – as well as being creative and fun building education resources and video content to share with schools.

Person Specification

  • An existing or recent teacher with a passion, knowledge and curiosity around effective use of technology for learning
  • Significant experience in the classroom, whether in a primary or secondary setting
  • A gregarious individual who enjoys meeting new people, understanding their challenges and aspirations and helping enable them to improve
  • An eagerness to improve an existing technical knowledge of how the nuances of technology can be used in education
  • Either an existing accredited educator, such as Microsoft, Google and others, or a willingness to quickly gain these credentials
  • A willingness to engage with a range of roles in education, from teaching staff to MAT leadership teams
  • A confidence, or a growing confidence, speaking in front of large groups, both in person and online, including creation of pre-recorded videos and shorts

The role will require travel around the North of England, with an occasional night away. You are closely supported by our Head of Education & Training, our colleague with over 20 years in education and leadership, as well a friendly, committed team in other departments.

It is a full-time position, although we will consider applications from those seeking a term-time only contract, or mutually flexible working hours. Salary will be calculated pro-rata where this applies.
