For over twenty years, Elementary Technology has been at the forefront of innovation and improvement in AV for education.

Always breaking boundaries and exploring ways to be the best at what we do; it’s now time to start a new chapter to build on our legacy. A chapter which sees a shift in leadership at the company, whilst maintaining a continuity that has enabled our growth so far.

After nearly twenty years as Managing Director, Chris Deeley will be shifting to Executive Chairman. Chris will still play an active role in leading the business, whilst also enjoying a well-deserved extended weekend each week!

Paul Land, co-shareholder and previously Sales Director, will step up as Co-CEO. Paul will be joined by Ed Fairfield as fellow Co-CEO – working closely together to build on the enormous success Elementary Technology has seen since 2003.

Chris, Paul and Ed continue to be supported by critical friend and all-round magnificent Non-Executive Director, Peter Lee.

Chris Deeley, Executive Chairman at Elementary Technology, comments;

“I’ve spent three decades pioneering AV technology for education - from the earliest interactive whiteboards to where we are now - and I’m still excited about the difference it makes when done well.
Then when starting with Elementary Technology as a small local reseller over twenty years ago, we are now a national leader and trusted advisor to multiple Multi Academy Trusts, Local Authorities and individual schools.
I’d like to commend both Paul and Ed who have been instrumental in this growth so far. I will support the next stage of our plan and still be at the heart of the business to support them into the future”.

Paul Land, Co-CEO, comments;

“This next phase of Elementary Technology will be massively exciting, building on the hard work myself, Chris and the team have undertaken over the last 20 years or so. I truly believe we are the best at what we do, we have so much to give to our customers and I can’t wait to continue our growth”

Ed Fairfield, Co-CEO, comments;

“I remember my interview with Chris and Paul over a decade ago. There was a passion to be the best and massive ambition to grow and improve. It’s been an absolute privilege to work with them to bring our vision to life, but there’s still so much more we can do; big gaps to fill in how technology is supplied into education, more ways we can innovate and improve, and also more good work to do building the best team in the business”.

The Directors are immensely grateful to colleagues, customers, suppliers and friends of the business for their ongoing support, trust and belief.

There’s more to do though – further strengthening how we support our customers and finding new ways to ensure they excel with how they use technology.

Keeping up with the hastening pace of change in education technology, continuing our work to be there when schools need help to manage this change.

And, being there for our people, helping them to be the best they can be. Values, culture, support and being #OnYourSide. It’s exciting! And, essential.

We can’t wait.
