The education sector is about giving and sharing – time, skills, mentoring, support – you name it. Building and supporting good people and rich communities is the reason most of us are in this sector; we mirror this approach as a business dedicated to education.

We give back in three main ways: through direct giving, through fundraising and through the time our team spends volunteering. We support a number of good causes, and we try to be generous to our education customers too.

‍

Our Chosen Charity

Children's Heart Surgery Fund

Our team raises money all year for Children's Heart Surgery Fund, a Leeds charity that supports children and adults born with congenital heart disease. It was founded in 1988 and has awarded more than £10 million in grants to the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit and the hospitals around it.

Around 1 in 125 babies are born with a heart defect, so the need is far bigger than most people realise. The charity pays for lifesaving equipment and ward resources, provides accommodation so parents can stay close to their child during surgery, and lots more. Click here to visit their website.

How we give back

Giving

We work with charities such as Energy Sparks, Naace – the EdTech Association, Let’s Go Zero and others, have donated hedgehog houses, provided prizes for school recycling clubs and Christmas raffles, donated technology to a children's hospital ward and more.

And we’re often seen bringing treats into busy school staff rooms when we visit schools!

‍

Fundraising

We raise money for Children's Heart Surgery Fund, and our colleagues have taken on some real challenges to do it, including races with sponsors cheering them on.

We take part in Odd Socks Day, helped bring a headteacher from Botswana to Bradford, and next up is something a little higher! A team sky dive in 2027. Watch this space.

‍

Volunteering

Every member of our team is encouraged to take a paid day of volunteering. Looking after homeless cats, planting trees, litter picking – we’ve even helped paint a school hall!

It takes us out of our day jobs and into our communities, and we all come back the better for it.

Got a good cause in mind?

If you know of a good cause you think we could help with, we'd love to hear about it. It might be a school project, a local charity or something in your community that needs a hand. Please get in touch and tell us more.
