Connect Education Trust, based in London, are a 8 school, 3500 pupil multi-academy trust, who are proud to be making a difference to the communities they serve.

Connect Education Trust has been pioneering digital learning techniques for many years and prides itself on being tech-savvy. Effective technology integration enhances teaching and learning experiences. It promotes pupils’ engagement, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. The use of digital technology to support teaching and learning has always been a strong feature of the trust.

The Challenge

Connect Education Trust wanted to strengthen its early years provision by introducing innovative learning tools that would support oracy, collaboration, and independent learning while remaining true to a play-based approach. The trust needed a solution that could engage all learners, including those with additional needs, and help prepare children for success in a digital world.

The Solution

Working closely with Connect Education Trust, Elementary Technology introduced the PlayPanel, a multi-user interactive learning platform designed specifically for early years education. Rather than simply supplying a product, Elementary Technology worked alongside the trust to understand its vision, providing the PlayPanel solution complete with the YellowDoor learning suite of apps, training, and ongoing support to ensure successful implementation.

The Impact

The PlayPanel quickly became an integral part of early years learning at Bowes School. Children use it collaboratively to develop communication, problem-solving, and social skills through engaging, curriculum-aligned activities. Staff have seen noticeable improvements in confidence, independence, and language development, while benefiting from extensive resources that support lesson planning and purposeful play.
